Tallmadge Branch Summit County Library Zentangle Workshop

Today, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Tallmadge Branch of the Summit County Library for hosting me in a Zentangle Level 1 workshop yesterday afternoon.

As it goes, “It was a dark and stormy…” ah well… afternoon as fourteen brave persons weathered the tantrums of mother nature and her ‘Spirng flings of April’ to attend this workshop hosted by Denise Lee of the Tallmadge Branch of the Summit County Library.

These Patrons of the library experienced firsthand what Zentangle is and how it works as they gathered around and viewed everyone’s first tile. The exclamations of how different each tile appeared even though each person had the same instruction and the same instruments with which to create their first piece of zentangle art.

Everyone appeared to have a great time and many signed up for the workshop on creating a mandala without measuring next month arranged by Denise at the Tallmadge Branch of the Summit County Library.

Our "1st" Anniveresary

Well, today is our 1st official wedding anniversary. Even though we have been together like 15 years, it doesn't count legally until you get that piece of paper.

To celebrate, we are taking a play/vacation day in our hometown area. Going to see the M.C.Escher display at the Akron Art Museum, lunch at the Strip in N. Canton & look around Borders or the other shops for a while, then off to the Gervasi Winery in Canton to take in dinner and a walk around the grounds if the weather is not too unfriendly - the hi is to be 34 with winds around 13mph :( However, the sun is out :) We have tickets to take in a play at the Kathleen Howland Theater, will browse the 2nd April Gallerie while there, after the show drink a beverage at one of the local coffee houses close by before heading back home.
